Ladies, let me start out by saying that we are wonderfully made. A woman was and is one of God’s most magnificent creations. As a matter of fact, she was His grand finale. After He fashioned Eve, creation was complete and He took a rest!
We know that females are one of the most beautiful creations of God. I call Him the Original Beauty Designer, but at the same time, we are still trying to add more beauty to us.
Everywhere we look, it is the “100 Most Beautiful” that are honored and publicized. Our society has become obsessed with physical beauty, and many women are caught up in that obsession as well.
Inner beauty has taken a back seat to outward appearance. Women are getting plastic surgery like a menu at a restaurant. “I want the face job.” “I would like the breast enhancement.” “Can I have the tummy tuck?” “I would like the lip and butt enlargement please.” All of these procedures are done simply to make us feel and look more beautiful. But does it really?
External beauty is nothing without a beautiful light seen in your eyes, soul, and attitude. It is a healthy self-love that is reflected on how you treat yourself and others. However, inner beauty reflects courage, strength, peace, and confidence as you discover God’s intended purposes. The Good Book says, “Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious.” – 1 Peter 3:3-4 ESV
Remember, beauty is often referred to as our outward physical appearance, but God looks at the beauty in our hearts. And He is the Original Beauty Designer!
